Ross Zumbach Anxious For Return to “The Mile”

The days are winding down quickly for Ross’ return to the Milwaukee Mile.  It has been two years since his last run on the famed Wisconsin race track and Ross says that he just simply can’t wait.

In 2008, Ross ran what he calls one of the biggest races of his career.  The Governors Cup Weekend was a Wisconsin racing tradition that Ross had raced in 2007, and came back in 08 with a new car and a new outlook on the racetrack.  It was quite a day taking the lead and racing to a hard fought race to the finish.  This was Ross’ first Mid American Stock Car Series win, and he became one of the youngest winners in the history of the famous facility.

“It’s a track that you can get out and race on,” said Ross, “there is plenty of room and it is a driver’s track.”  Going back to Milwaukee hits a soft spot and brings a lot of excitement  that he would like to relive again.  Ross is cautious however as he knows the competition will be fierce.  “I just want to get on the track and have another good solid run,” Ross exclaimed.

TD Racing Development and Ross Zumbach will be coming to Milwaukee after a successful outing at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth IN.  “We had a great run but came away with nothing to show,” said the disappointed driver.  “We started 14th, and came through turn 4 for the checkered flag in the 8th position,” exclaimed Ross, “but a finish line fiasco with the top 3 cars upset the evening and relegated  the Artesian Fresh, Dave Geerdes Farms, SATA Spray Equipment Ford Fusion to 15th”.  “My spotter, Travis Dassow, did a great job guiding me through the whole event, and to get jacked up and turned with the flag in sight was disappointing to both of us.”

Next stop is Milwaukee, and Ross is excited to be there with Howie Lettow and the rest of the TD Racing Development Team.  “Mike has given me a great opportunity and we plan on giving the #92 car a great ride!”
